In English, we feed the children's love of reading and writing. Fluency and comprehension and secretarial skills are essential but there is nothing more important than our children's ability to find their voice, to come to possess and express their views and their feelings. The national awards they gain for poetry writing are a delight and we publish anthologies of their writing to acknowledge that they are real writers. But the deeper purpose is to know oneself, find oneself and express oneself.

In History and Geography and Religious Studies, we develop the children’s knowledge of the world beyond them in time, in space, in belief, to understand their own culture and other cultures. The deeper curriculum teaches them to make connections to the actions of others, the lives of others, the beliefs of others, to exercise their tolerance and their compassion for their world.
